An Iraqi-Jewish Feast | The Wandering Chew

Earlier this month I was asked to photograph the début pop-up dinner for a new local initiative, The Wandering Chew. Created and organized by Kat and Sydney, these two ambitious ladies aim to diversify the way people think about Jewish food while connecting people through food, its history, and the stories surrounding it. The evening highlighted the cuisine and culture of Montréal's Iraqi Jewish community. Recipes, stories and details were collected from women in the community lending a personal touch to the affair. As intended, those in attendance got to enjoy an incredible feast, meet new people and learn about the food and its significance in the Iraqi Jewish community. A charming and enjoyable event... the first of many more dinners (and workshops!) to come.

Thanksgiving Weekend | Picton, ON

For the love of friends, family, food and film- a few of the many things that I'm [forever] grateful for. This year I spent Thanksgiving weekend in beautiful Prince Edward County documenting the celebration of young love between two old souls and spending time with some wonderful people. On my journey home I took a leisurely drive through the countryside stopping to indulge in the bounty of harvest season and enjoy the fall landscape. These are some snapshots of the weekend's events captured on film.
